Native Companion

This a Brolga, also known as Australian Crane or Native Companion, and it is the official emblem of Queensland. So It was an honour to have taken its portrait. The Brolga is a very big bird that lives in the wetland and polders all around New Guinea and North Queensland. This specie of crane is not endangered, but its population is in decline. Luckily, the Australian government is working on getting this bird to its full grace.
